Before and After Care

This is a special service provided by our school for nominal fee.  The cost of our Before and After Care is $200 monthly.  You may enroll your student in Before/Care, After/Care or both.  The fee for Emergency After/Care for one day is $6.00.

The hours of operation are:

7:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

and

3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Parents of students who have not been picked up by 6:00 p.m. will be assessed $1.00 for every minute that you are late after the 6:00 p.m. pick up time.  There will be NO exceptions!  PLEASE BE PROMPT.

For After Care Parents

We want our evening program to be a productive time for the children and ask that you take time to review the following and adhere to our concerns:

1. Time for snacks is from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.  Children may bring snacks from home or make a purchase from the snack cart or ice cream concession.

2. The period from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. is homework/study time.  The educational assistants on duty will provide support.

3. At 4:30 p.m. the assistants will allow the children to play games, read stories, use the playground (weather permitting) to do various other activities to keep them gainfully occupied until they are picked up at the end of the day.

Concerns:

Parents are responsible for alerting the main office if someone other than  the designated persons on the admission form will be picking up a student.

When children are signed-out by the parent, they must then  be under the supervision of the parent.  (Children may not roam the building unsupervised.)  You must depart the school.

The school administrative office closes at 5:30 p.m.  The After Care Program will close at 6:00 p.m. (No later).  Students who are frequently left after closing will be dismissed from the After Care program.

A parent who signs out a student other than his/her child is assuming a great responsibility.  If that child is hurt, who then makes arrangements for emergency care, etc. if the school facility is closed and the said parent has no emergency information about the student?  This is a very serious concern and needs to be addressed.

Please do not linger after signing out your child.
