We are a private school located on a beautiful eight-acre campus in far northeast Washington, D.C. Nannie Helen Burroughs is a Christian School and we value the spiritual and character building components of our program.

Nannie Helen Burroughs School is an elementary program for students from nursery age to sixth grade age. Our program also includes a “Before and After Care” component. The staff is comprised of certified and experienced instructors. Our school environment is safe, attractive and conducive to learning. Our curriculum offers the core subjects reading mathematics, science and social studies along with special subjects; Physical Education, Music, Art, Spanish and Religion.

We offer enriching experiences for our students through field trips, partnerships with community organizations and the museums around the Washington, D.C. area.
